Not only will you learn some critical Flex skills next week, you'll also have the opportunity to win a two-day introductory Flex training session, so be sure not to miss it! I'll share more details about the training on Tuesday.
Understanding the lifecycle of Flex applications and components is critical to being a good Flex developer, yet it's one of the most confusing concepts that the Flex framework has to offer. In our next meeting I'm going to de-mystify the process so that you'll have the skills necessary to create custom components, extend existing components, and understand what's going on under the hood in a Flex application.
If you haven't heard of updateDisplayList() or you're not sure what "invalidation" is for, I highly recommend you attend!
If time permits we'll also talk about some of the cool new features in Flash 10.
Please note the new location...
When: Tuesday, July 15th, 2008. 7-9 PM
Where: 12304 Santa Monica Blvd, Room 110, Los Angeles (street parking)
