Introductory Flex 3 Workshop at Indiana University


In this workshop lasting over 6 weeks, participants will learn how to prototype moderately complex user interfaces (UIs) using Adobe's Flex 3 framework. Objectives:

- Understand the difference between Flex and other Web technologies such as XHTML and PHP.
- Learn how to use data providers as well as custom item renderers to create custom components.
- Learn how to use style sheets to change the appearance of the user interface.
- Create simple interactions between elements in the user interface using states, transitions, effects and events.

This workshop is primarily for non-programmers. This workshop can be very helpful to those planning to take a course or work in the area of user interface design, Web application development, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Visualization or Interaction Design.
